New Mural Plans for Centre

Sefton Council for Voluntary Services, who manage the Southport Community Centre building, have submitted an application to the National Lottery’s ‘Celebrate’ fund to create a mural for everyone in the local community.
Residents were invited to attend a consultation workshop on 4th August to express their views and opinions about what images they would like to see painted on the entrance wall of Southport Community Centre.

To have your say, join us on November 17th between 5pm to 7pm for the second consultation day. Call Philip Blocksidge, Centre Manager on 01704 517 810 for more information.

Give us your views on a mural for Southport Community Centre. You can do this by:
attending the next consultation day or  visit Southport Community Centre anytime to see these mural plans and the original artwork produced by local residents that inspired them. Complete a feedback form & tell us what you think!

All design ideas produced at the initial August workshop and displayed on this page are intended to encourage discussion about the possible future appearance of the building, and should not be construed as being final.

More mural ideas will be developed at the November workshop. These will be submitted to the Parish Church Council of St Simons & St Judes, who as custodians of the building, will approve a selection of finalised designs. The public will then vote to choose their favourite.

All these preliminary designs came from local residents who attended the first workshop. Their ideas were brought to life by Neil Morris, and Keith Lack celebrated local street artists who organised the ‘ Sprayport;’ Festival
